Indications for foot MRI scan

  1. Marrow abnormalities (eg. bone contusions, osteonecrosis, marrow oedema syndromes,and stress fractures.
  2. Synovial based disorders ( eg. synovitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis, and ganglion cysts)
  3. Congenital and developmental conditions( eg.dysplasia, tarsal coalition)
  4. Infections of bone, joint, or soft tissue (eg. osteomyelitis ,osteoarthritis )
  5. Plantar fasciitis, fascial rupture, and plantar fibromatosis
  6. Neoplasms of bone, joint, or soft tissue
  7. Abnormalities of foot tendons
  8. Mortons neuroma
  9. Avascular necrosis
